MS and Vitamin D

Be careful when increasing vitamin D

  • The following text is copied from the graph for translation
    • Probability of adverse reaction when increasing Vitamin D (rough guess)
    • Calcium too much
    • Magnesium: too little
    • Vitamin D in blood (nanograms/ml)

MS is in a vicious cycle with vitamin D:

Low vitamin D ==>MS ==> lower vitamin D ==> many more vitamin D deficiency diseases

But - UV might be even better than Vitamin D

Can use both UV and Vitamin D (unless you are in a Vitamin D clinical trial)

Vitamin D PREVENTS many diseases and TREATS some (such as MS)

Many clinical trials have proven the power of vitamin D to treat 35 diseases, including MS

Notice that the 10,000 IU needed for MS = the amount on the following chart

This graph shows that in 2010 that vitamin D levels > 40 ng PREVENTED Multiple Sclerosis

FACT: At least some MS is associated with a gene variant

FACT: People with MS need higher levels of vitamin D to treat the symptoms

SPECULATION: Those people with the gene variant need higher levels of vitamin D in the blood to prevent/treat MS
